CPA Breaking News - NTS

Candidates who may be impacted by travel restrictions or personal illness from the Coronavirus, may request an extension of their Notice to Schedule (NTS).  NASBA and Boards of Accountancy have established procedures for an exception to policy (ETP) and treat each request on an individual basis.

NASBA handles the ETPs for NTS extensions for the following jurisdictions and candidates can find the required form online at www.nasba.org under the form section of each specific state’s examination page:

Alaska, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Guam, Hawaii, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Utah, Vermont, Washington, and Wisconsin

Candidates will need to contact their board of accountancy if their jurisdiction is not listed above.

Just like normal ETP processes, if the candidate is scheduled for an appointment, they will need to cancel that appointment before they submit the ETP form.

Candidates may contact NASBA at [email protected] for more information.
