Know the study strategy of CPA-BEC section - Shared by Abhi Garg

I want to share some strategies I have followed in subjects I have passed

COMMON POINTS

In BEC, there are six chapters. Most of the MCQ comes from the first and last chapter. But, simulations come from B2, B3, B4 and B5. Revisions are the only possible way to pass this subject. First, watch all the Simandhar and Becker lectures, then do skill masters video, followed by MCQ and simulations. Do follow this pattern 3- 4 times. Most of the people are worried about written communication. Please follow the first and last para of Becker, take care of full stops and commas. There are specific words which the computer is finding, if you can write those specific words- you will get good marks. As far as IT is concerned AICPA asks new questions not covered in Becker. You can only tackle it through google more and more about new topics of the chapter not covered in Becker.

In FAR don’t leave the last three chapters. Leaving these chapters means failure. Please do understand the concept behind the journal entries. FAR is completely based on journal entries. Don’t try to cram the JE. Don’t leave any single topic in FAR; you will not know from where AICPA asks the whole simulation from a small topic. Everything is important.

COMMON POINTS

  • IF you are giving two more subjects at a time, please make 10- 12 days gap between them. In these 10 days read the book, do all the MCQ and simulations.
  • Don’t cram a single word.
  • Please follow only Becker. Becker is sufficient; going for another course provider is a waste of time.
  • Try to explore new and new topics, concepts regarding topics through google. It provides an edge from other students and boosts your confidence.
  • Last, do yoga every morning. It will increase your thinking power.
