ACCA Eligibility
Eligibility Requirements for ACCA Course Discover the requirements you need to meet to be eligible for the ACCA course:
- To be eligible for ACCA, you must have completed your 10+2 examinations.
- You need to achieve a minimum aggregate of 65% in Mathematics/Accounts and English, and a minimum of 50% in other subjects.
- In case you do not meet the aforementioned criteria, you can still enrol in the ACCA course through the Foundation in Accountancy (FIA) route.
SUBJECTS
ACCA consists of 13 subjects which are divided into four levels: Knowledge, Skills, Essentials, and Options.
Knowledge Level: Consists of three subjects:
- Accountant in Business (AB)
- Management Accounting (MA)
- Financial Accounting (FA)
Skills Level: Consists of six subjects:
- Corporate and Business Law (LW)
- Performance Management (PM)
- Taxation (TX)
- Financial Reporting (FR)
- Audit and Assurance (AA)
- Financial Management (FM)
Essentials Level: Consists of two subjects:
- Strategic Business Leader (SBL)
- Strategic Business Reporting (SBR)
Options Level: Consists of four subjects (out of which any two need to be selected):

- Advanced Taxation (ATX)

In order to complete the ACCA qualification, students are required to pass a total of 13 exams: the three exams in the Knowledge Level, six exams in the Skills Level, two exams in the Essentials Level, and two exams in the Options Level. Additionally, students are required to complete an ethics and professional skills module (EPSM) which is an online course that covers the ethical and professional skills required of ACCA members.
EXEMPTIONS
ACCA offers exemptions to students who have completed qualifications or courses that are recognized by ACCA. Exemptions allow students to skip certain exams and proceed directly to higher levels of the ACCA qualification.
Exemptions are awarded on a subject-for-subject basis, which means that if a student has completed a qualification or course that covers the same material as an ACCA exam, they may be eligible for an exemption from that exam.
